About the Project
Maui is a mobile application designed for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals, freelancers, and small businesses, focused on simplifying financial management in a clear and effective way. The goal of the project was to centralize the management of income, expenses, and key contacts in a single place, reducing reliance on manual processes and unintuitive tools.
The project was developed as a full stack solution. The mobile application was built with React Native and TypeScript, while the backend was developed using Node.js, Express, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. I worked as a Full Stack Engineer and Tech Lead, contributing to both the architectural design and the full implementation of the solution.
One of the main technical challenges was publishing the app to the Google Play Store, as it was my first time going through this process, as well as defining and implementing an application monitoring and error tracking strategy using Sentry in production.
Key features include profile creation, multi-currency balance management, income and expense tracking, and contact management for clients and suppliers, resulting in a significant improvement in users’ financial organization and control.
